Job Description

Sonoran Technology is currently performing under the E-3 Mission Crew Training (MCT) contract at Tinker AFB, OK.  In accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Sonoran conducts academic and simulator training to meet the annual student throughput requirements for each student and in support of formal course syllabi, training plans, and event instructor guides.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill an Air Weapons Officer (AWO) Instructor/Subject Matter Expert (I/SME) position at Tinker AFB.

Current and former aircrew members holding an AWO certification are invited to submit their resume through this ad.
Education

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience

The following qualifications are required for personnel employed as Instructors:

  1. Three years instructor/education experience with TACS as a training device (simulator) instructor
  2. Completed a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course or complete one within six months after hire
  3. Associate’s degree required or must be obtained within twelve months
  4. Previous qualification on AWACS 30/35 (E-17 software or newer).

The following qualifications are desired for personnel employed as Instructors:

  1. Previous experience as an academic platform instructor or OJT instructor.
  2. Practical experience with ISD courseware development.
  3. Multiple previous Airborne Warning And Control System (AWACS) duty position qualifications
  4. Bachelor’s degree.
  5. Advanced Weapons Director Course/Weapons School Graduate.

A current/active DoD Secret security clearance is required for this position.  Due to the length of time it takes to acquire/reacquire an active/current security clearance; only those candidates possessing a current/active security clearance will be accepted.  For a copy of the current PWS, please submit your resume for an immediate response.
