Job Description

Team Sonoran is providing Command & Control/Contract Academic Training/Courseware Development/Distance Learning (C2/CAT/CWD DL) support to the Air Force at multiple locations. This contract provides training system support/mission system interface, and staff support services to the Battle Control Center (BCC) missions at various locations to include the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Sonoran is currently administering the Command & Control (C2) Contract Academic Training (CAT) Courseware Development (CWD), and Distance Learning (DL) contract at multiple locations worldwide. The mission of the BCC, also known as the Sectors, are responsible to NORAD for peacetime air sovereignty, strategic air defense, and airborne counter-drug operation in the continental U.S. The mission crew performs the functions of battle management, weapons control, surveillance, identification, tactical data link and airspace management.

A modification to the contract resulted in the addition of several BCC CAT Instructor/SME positions at the Alaska Region Air Operations Center (AKRAOC) at JB Elmendorf-Richardson, AK; the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS) at JB Lewis-McChord, WA; and the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS), at Rome, NY.

CAT instructors shall conduct academic and training device instruction in support of formal course syllabi, training plans, event lesson plans, and training device instruction for course students at the EADS, WADS, and the AKRAOC. Academic instruction will include platform training, remedial training, and monitoring of computer-based and self-paced instruction periods.

 

Currently, we do not have any openings, but we are accepting resumes for future openings at this time.  We will also send you a copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but at least an Associate’s degree is required.

Experience

Required Qualifications:

1) Three years instructor/education experience as TACS training device (simulator) instructor

2) Completed a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course

3) Associate’s degree required or must be obtained within twelve months

4) Two years experience with AN/FYQ-156A for BCC operations

 

Desired Qualifications:

1) Previous experience as an academic platform instructor or OJT instructor

2) Practical experience with ISD courseware development

3) Multiple previous Battle Control Center (BCC) duty position qualifications

4) Bachelor’s degree

5) Advanced Weapons Director Course/Weapons School Graduate
