Job Description | Sonoran Technology has a contract with the Air Force providing curriculum development and delivery for the Supervisory Resource Center (SRC) and the New Employee Orientation (NEO) courses at Maxwell AFB, AL. A curriculum development/design position is available. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide the skills, knowledge, and experience to build, maintain, and deliver curriculum using leading edge information and technologies for Curriculum Development and Delivery for the USAF Personnel Professional Development School (PPDS). The contractor shall recommend methodologies, resource requirements; and develop scripts and video concepts and manage subsequent instructional media and methods tailored to the specific course. Curriculum Development: Help develop curriculum for USAF PPDS courses to include: New Employee Orientation (NEO) course and Supervisor Resource Center (SRC). Learning objectives and desired learning outcomes would vary depending on the course. Curriculum Delivery: The contractor shall manage students enrolled in distant learning courses by facilitating the daily operations of the New Employee Orientation Course (asynchronous, self paced) for 25,000 to 30,000 students annually. There are additional details concerning these core duties provided in the form of a Performance Work Statement (PWS), which will be issued to individuals who apply for the position. Education | While a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, experience in curriculum development/delivery is required. |
Experience | The contractor shall be able to create and adjust curricula, facilitate group exercises/activities, monitor participant progress, and account for participant activity/participation in a distance learning environment. A minimum of 1 year experience working in an academic environment which included instructor duties and or curriculum development. Must have an in-depth, detailed, knowledge and understanding of the Air Force’s Institutional competencies and their associated Learning Programs. Must also be able to identify, create, edit and or enhance the Learning Programs in relationship to the Air Force Civilian Leadership Development Continuum. Must also be well versed in the Air Force culture and be able to instruct, explain and update USAF PPDS course content that deals with new Air Force civilian employees. . Distance learning instruction experience using Blackboard or similar technology. Course development skills are required following the Instructional System Design methodology. Candidates must be able obtain/maintain a Favorable govt. background check. Note: All positions are currently filled on this contract. However, due to the possibility of contract growth, resumes are being accepted for these positions. |
