Job Description

Sonoran Technology and been working on the E-3 MCT contract, providing mission crew training to E-3 personnel for several years.  We’ve just received a contract modification, resulting in the creation/addition of several Instructor/Subject Matter Experts (I/SME) positions.

  1. Air Weapons Officer (AWO) I/SME – 1 opening
  2. Air Surveillance Officer (ASO) I/SME – 1 opening
  3. Air Surveillance Technician/Senior Surveillance Technician (AST/SST) I/SME – 2 openings
  4. Education Technologist – 1 opening

Currently, we don’t have any vacancies, but we are accepting resumes.

Education

Some positions require at least an Associate’s degree, and some of the positions require a Bachelor’s degree.  See the requirements that are listed below.

Experience
  1.  Air Weapons Officer (AWO) I/SME

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years’ experience as a qualified 13B (i.e. AWO, ECO, ASO, SD, or MCC, ABM qual) or 1A4D (WD)
  • Three years instructor/education experience with TACS as a training device (simulator) instructor
  • Completed a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course or complete one w/in 1 year after hire
  • Associate’s degree required or must be obtained within twelve months
  • Previous qualification on AWACS 30/35 (E-17 software or newer).
  • Previously qualified on E-3G/Block 40 within the last two years
  • Have at least three years’ experience as a qualified instructor in a Battlespace Command and Control center (BC3) or BCS type system (i.e. 40/45, Tyndall BC3, CRC, Sectors, etc.)
  • Must have at least two years of E-3 experience.
  • Practical experience with courseware development
  • Current/active Security Clearance

Desired qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an academic platform instructor or OJT instructor.
  • Multiple previous Airborne Warning And Control System (AWACS) duty position qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Weapons School Graduate / Advanced Weapons Director Course

 

2.  Air Surveillance Officer (ASO) I/SME

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years’ experience as a qualified 13B / ASO
  • Three years instructor/education experience with TACS as a training device (simulator) instructor

Required qualifications: (Equivalent military and/or civilian experience may be accepted for required qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in an education discipline.
  • Must have completed three of the following five courses (3 semester hours per course):
    1. Test and Measurement Applications
    2. Psychology of Learning
    3. ISD Applications
    4. Curriculum and Instructional Development
    5. Evaluation Design Application and Theory
  • One-year hands-on experience in curriculum development and the design and production of ISD materials.

Desired qualifications:

  • Area of educational emphasis in curriculum development or 1-year experience in curriculum development, and have 3 semester hours in computer-based instructional design applications.
  • Three years’ experience in training development.
  • Experience in computer-based instructional design applications and the ADL environment.
  • Current/active secret security clearance.
