Job Description

Sonoran Technology is currently performing on the F-16 Weapons System Support (WSS) contract at both Luke AFB, AZ and Holloman AFB, NM.  In response to anticipated mission growth, Team Sonoran hired two Aircrew/Flying Schedulers at Luke AFB, and three at Holloman AFB, NM.  While these recent additions satisfied the Air Force customer’s current needs, we will continue to accept resumes from individuals with a background in Aircrew/Flying Scheduling.

The contractor shall assist the squadron chief programmer with coordination and scheduling of all current and next day tasks as well as one-week, two-week and long range requirements for students, permanent party and attached personnel training events. The programmer shall provide recommendations required by student non-progression, maintenance problems, unscheduled absences, CAP, changes to meeting schedules, etc. The programmer shall de- conflict the weekly schedule to include student, UIP and permanent party requirements and prepare scheduling reports, attend scheduling meetings and job training events, and assist in planning syllabus activities. The programmer shall assist in the daily coordination of the flying schedule and configuration requirements with maintenance and be thoroughly knowledgeable of pilot crew rest requirements and duty limitations. The programmer shall schedule in GTIMS aircraft turn schemes, configurations, training devices, academics, airspace, students and instructors so as to meet syllabus requirements. Direct and indirect support aircraft (ex: tankers) shall be scheduled to meet syllabus requirements. These forecasts shall incorporate flying squadron Directorate of Operations (DO), maintenance and flying hour contract inputs. They shall be thoroughly familiar with and proficient in all aspects of the GTIMS.

Education

Vocational or post-High School training.

Experience

Required:

Mission-orientated individual

Demonstrated superior interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), problem solving and organizational skills

Self-starter.  Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to train and mentor others with initial and follow-on job skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Security Clearance:  Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired:

Experience as a Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) technician

Experience as a Maintenance Plans and Scheduling technician

Experience as a Maintenance Analyst

Two years of experience with aircrew or student scheduling

Two years of experience with scheduling

Experience with syllabus-based training

Experience with GTIMS

Experience with other Training Information Management Systems (TIMS)

Experience with fighter flight training programs

Experience with USAF flight training programs

Experience with military flight training programs

Familiar with fighter aircraft stores configurations for flight operations
