Job Description | Sonoran Technology along with our teaming partner – Apogee, was awarded the Squadron Operations Support contract, issued by the Air Force, to provide support to the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), Operations Directorate to provide Squadron Operations Support & Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) Services.
This contract supports Combat Air Forces (CAF) Bomber Squadron operations/operations support at locations within Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). The squadrons operations support functions provide skills such as Scheduling Support, Operations Training Support, and Standardizations and Evaluations (Stand/Eval) Support. This requirement provides in-garrison active Bomber Squadrons functional support for typical additional duties assigned to squadron personnel, such as Scheduling, Training, Stand/Eval support.
Positions/Locations 20BS – Barksdale AFB, LA – 1 Scheduling Support, 1 Operation Training Support, 1 Stan/Eval Support position. 9BS – Dyess AFB, TX – 1 Scheduling Support, 1 Operations Training Support position. 34BS – Ellsworth AFB, SD – 1 Scheduling Support, 1 Operations Training Support, 1 Stan/Eval Support position. 393BS – Whiteman AFB, MO – 1 Scheduling Support, 1 Operations Training Support position.
Scheduling Support – Coordinate with the training officer, Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM), UDM, and Operations Officer (DO) to arrange a schedule to facilitate operations, qualification, upgrade, test, exercise, and continuation training accomplishment to meet required currency and progression standards, in accordance with DO priorities. Build long and short-range shift schedules to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions. Track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling as directed by the DO. Publish/post scheduling data for unit long/short-range gr
Operations Training Support – Update data in PEX (or future equivalent systems to PEX) and locally-developed database systems as required. Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) personnel to update the Aviation Resource Management Systems (ARMS) (or future equivalent systems to ARMS), as required. Review and update student/permanent party records, folders, and grade books per the applicable Air Force Instructions. Administer classes and exams as required and coordinate with scheduling to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for Crew Resource Management, Instructor Crew Resource Management, Instrument Refresher Course, and any other grounding or pre-deployment training requirements. Monthly Aircrew Qualification Level Summary (also known as the “Letter of Xs”) and provide a copy of inwork and final documents to Wing Current Operations (OSS/OSO) and Wing Stand/Eval (OGV) NLT the last day of each month.
Stan/Eval Support – Maintain accountability and control of flight testing materials. Update data in PEX (or future equivalent systems to PEX) and locally-developed computer database systems as required. Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) personnel to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) (or future equivalent systems to ARMS), as required. Coordinate with training officer to review and update student/permanent party records, folders, and grade books per the applicable AFIs; as well as, associated MAJCOM/Installation Supplements and locally-developed guidance. Notify crewmembers, scheduling, and unit leadership of upcoming and overdue testing, evaluations, and training requirements via e-mail, telephone, or in person.

Experience | Scheduling Support qualifications – Must possess a Secret Clearance or previously held Secret Clearance which has expired (not revoked). Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with PEX or similar proprietary scheduling program. Must possess a minimum of an intermediate-level proficiency in the use/application of Microsoft Office (MS) products.
Operations Training Support qualifications – Must possess a Secret Clearance or previously held Secret Clearance which has expired (not revoked). Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with PEX (or similar proprietary scheduling program). Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Squadron, Group, and/or Wing training program or three (3) years of experience working in a DoD Flying Squadron, Group, and/or Wing equivalent training program.
Stan/Eval Support qualifications – Qualifications – Must possess a Secret Clearance or previously held Secret Clearance which has expired (not revoked). Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Bomber Squadron, Group, and/or Wing Stan/Eval shop or three (3) years of experience working in a DoD Flying Squadron, Group, and/or Wing equivalent Stan/Eval office. Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with PEX (or similar proprietary Stan/Eval programs).
