Job Description

Sonoran Technology and our teaming partner have been working on the Flight Training Operations Support – 2 (FTOS-2) contract, with work at multiple locations since December 2018.  A manning shortage exists at AETC training squadrons across the command due to a growing shortage of aircrew throughout the Air Force.  This contract shall provide competent personnel to absorb non-flying duties in order to remove some workload from flying personnel in short-manned career fields.

We are accepting resumes from individuals with the following skill-sets, to fill positions at the following locations, which the ones in bold are locations Sonoran will be filling:

 

Altus AFB, OK – Scheduling Support, Stan/Eval Support, Training Support

Vance AFB, OK – Scheduling Support, Stan/Eval Support, Training Support

Education

HS Diploma is required

Some college, an Associate’s Degree, or Bachelors Degree is desired for these positions.

 

 

Experience

Scheduling Support:

Minimum qualifications include at least two (2) years of experience working in a DoD operational flying unit (active duty, guard/reserve, contractor or civilian)

Minimum qualifications include at least one (1) year of scheduling experience working in a DoD operational or training flying unit within the past ten (10) years (active duty, guard/reserve, contractor or civilian)

Minimum qualifications include at least two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Demonstrated ability to operate Microsoft SharePoint websites and communities of practice

Demonstrated proficiency with USAF AETC management information systems and applications, including but not limited to the Training Integrated Management System/Graduate Training Integrated Management System (TIMS/GTIMS), comparable weapon system specific Training Management Systems (TMS), Patriot Excalibur (PEX), and X-plan

Demonstrated working knowledge of USAF AETC policies and procedures governing training squadron operations, including but not limited to AETC Instruction 36-2605 Volume 1 and USAF Instructions 11-202V3 and 11-2MDS

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Access is highly desirable

 

Training and Stan/Eval Support:

Clearance requirements – Currently, all positions will require the completion of a HSPD-12 Tier 1 background investigation, with Favorable results received.  Due to the length of time it takes to process a Tier 1 investigation, those individuals with a current Tier 1 investigation with Favorable results, or an active/current DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret), will be given preference.

 

Please note:  This effort has multiple work locations, to include multiple units on each location.  Therefore, the duties for each position will vary, depending on the unit’s particular mission.  After we receive a copy of your resume, then we will send you a copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).  The PWS explains the work being done on the contract, and further lists the requirements and responsibilities for each position on the contract.
